Leaders Making History: Nicolas Rodriguez, Regional Vice President

Leaders Making History: Nicolas Rodriguez, Regional Vice President

Nicolas Rodriguez always imagined he would grow up to help others. Although his father’s goal was to have him take on the family strawberry farm, Rodriguez wanted to hold his own career in business and leadership. He was able to do just that. When Rodriguez joined the Company over five years ago, he assisted in opening new stores in our fast-growing California market. “I found TitleMax through LinkedIn and applied while I was still working in Mexico. Things didn’t work out because I wanted to be in California. When I came back to the states, I reconnected with the recruiter, …

Meet Letisia Luna Contreras

At the TMX Finance® Family of Companies, women are leading the way. They’re mothers, mentors, military veterans, community volunteers, and operators. Our women are leaders. Read all the interviews we held in our Women of the 20th blog series to learn how they each became the leaders they are today. Tell us about your journey with the Company. “I started with TitleMax® as a Customer Service Representative in September 2012 and worked my way up through every position at the store level. This led to my promotion to General Manager in April 2014. Then, my former Regional Vice President reached …

What Black History Means to Me

What Black History Means to Me

What does Black History mean to me? Black History to me means that without some of the great leaders who have come before me, I wouldn’t have the same opportunities I, or any of us, have today.  Black History Month in my household is not celebrated just February; it is every day of every month. I have three children. It’s very important my children know the life we live wasn’t given but earned, and a lot of people paid a hefty price for us to live the way we do. I have a daughter, who is a freshman in college. …

How Mexican Heritage is Reflected in TitleMax

How Mexican Heritage is Reflected in TitleMax

Being part of the TitleMax® team has allowed me to see and feel the warmth of the Mexican culture. I really enjoy the way my Hispanic customers open up to me. They not only come in to get a loan, but to talk about their families, their plans, and even what they plan to cook that night or do that weekend. Being part of this team has allowed me to form deeper and stronger relationships with clients than what is accustomed in this industry because you know so much more about your clients and their families. This type of relationship …

Corporate New Hire Program

Corporate New Hire Program

Submitted by: Caitlyn Fahey, Executive Assistant of Shared Services – Dallas On Monday April 16th, I was able to visit one of our TitleMax stores in Carrollton, Texas as part of the New Hire Program to observe store operations. As a corporate employee, I really wanted to see the front-line processes of our organization and learn about the day-to-day store activities. Throughout the visit, I was able to see the customer onboarding process, vehicle appraisals using the ACV tool, payment transactions, and collections activity. But, my biggest takeaway from my experience was the interactions and relationships between customers and store …

#DefineYourDrive: Results

#DefineYourDrive: Results

Submitted by: Donna Smith  In 2009, after 26 years in the automotive retail business in a finance support role, I was ready for a more personal challenge. I researched the TMX Finance Family of Companies and was an immediate believer! The excitement that exuded from the District Director I interviewed with was contagious. After all, how many companies are structured in transparency to allow every team member an opportunity to advance with unlimited earning potential? I began my career here as a Customer Service Representative and after six months of learning invaluable relationship-selling skills from a veteran store operator, I was …

#DefineYourDrive: Family

Submitted by: Katelynn Migues I was always the girl who not only doubted herself, but who always seemed to be doubted by others. But ever since I was young, I have always found ways to do things on my own. I always saved money to get what I wanted before anyone could buy it for me and I would save hundreds! I knew what I wanted and I worked hard to make it happen. Through my experiences, I have learned to push myself to keep moving forward. I’m now 21 years old with a home I purchased for myself at …
