Black History Is Something To be Thankful For

Black History Is Something To be Thankful For

As a country, people of color have just one month of recognition that was not offered to them, but taken as an opportunity. An opportunity to reflect on the struggles, the trials, and the tribulations beset on a group of people who were forced to this place by oppressing colonizers looking to build a land based on morals and values. Those oppressors would somehow call it “the land of the free.” My ancestors would agree, as I hope my son never has to. But if this is free, then I wish to change the definition. Just over 500 years later, …

Having just passed my sixth year with TMX Finance® Family of Companies, and recently going through one of the biggest transitions I have personally experienced in my professional career, I felt it necessary to put it into writing.  Here are my words of thanks and encouragement. Through my time with this company there have been many ups and downs, all of which have made me a better employee and a more understanding person.  In the beginning, I was hesitant to work for a company where my wife already worked.  I did not want our work life to interfere with our …

Iron Sharpens Iron

Submitted by: Kevin Godwin, District Director of Operations As a seasoned operator and proven leader with our company for going on 15 years there is one evident truth in the dynamics of our business as well as the role of leadership…IRON SHARPENS IRON! Our partnership convicted me on a personal level, and reminded me why the TeamUp Program is vital to not only developing our future leaders but is a place …

Corporate New Hire Program

Corporate New Hire Program

Submitted by: Caitlyn Fahey, Executive Assistant of Shared Services – Dallas On Monday April 16th, I was able to visit one of our TitleMax stores in Carrollton, Texas as part of the New Hire Program to observe store operations. As a corporate employee, I really wanted to see the front-line processes of our organization and learn about the day-to-day store activities. Throughout the visit, I was able to see the customer onboarding process, vehicle appraisals using the ACV tool, payment transactions, and collections activity. But, my biggest takeaway from my experience was the interactions and relationships between customers and store …

Are You Building A Career Legacy?

Are You Building A Career Legacy?

Written by: Heather Sueirro, Talent Manager Growing up in South Georgia, I saw firsthand the rapid expansion of the TMX Finance® Family of Companies. Buildings that had been old fast-food restaurants were turning into shiny new red, white, and blue businesses that gave the block an immediate facelift. It wasn’t until I began working with the Company in 2014 that I realized we were not just up and down Abercorn Street in Savannah, GA! I learned that we had hundreds of stores throughout the U.S.! It is no wonder we are celebrating Building a Legacy for our 20th Anniversary. I …
