Ted Helgesen Named Chief Business Officer

The TMX Finance Family of Companies is proud to announce the promotion of Ted Helgesen to our newest executive position, Chief Business Officer. In this inaugural role, Ted will lead the Company’s customer-facing business operations and is responsible for delivering results that contribute to the maximum profitability of our operations while catapulting the business into the next stage of customer growth and market opportunity.

Ted joined the Company bringing over 20 years of multi-unit managerial and executive leadership experience with him to the role of Director of Operations where he trained for seven months in District 1 of Division 1. His position provided him the opportunity to collaborate with every corporate department as well as work directly with store operations leadership in every Division. In November 2013, Ted was asked to lead the newly created Region 40 in New Mexico and was so successful he was promoted to DVP-Division 4. As DVP, Ted increased profits 190% YOY in 2015 and opened 33 stores, 27 of those in California. Along the way, he developed and promoted many of our current store operations leaders in the West before becoming Executive VP of Operations in 2017. As Executive VP, Ted led the day-to-day operations while achieving the financial and operational goals of the organization by ensuring a strong commitment to excellence across all of our business brands.

Now as Chief Business Officer, Ted will continue leading the store operations executive team and work to build continuity amongst our numerous revenue generating operations. Having Ted coordinate and lead all of the business brands along with the new Authorized Appraiser program is an important step toward our focus on operating as ONE Company. This new streamlined structure allows for the development of new revenue streams and aligns the Company around our operational vison while empowering each of our customer-facing teams to be more responsive to current and new markets including online markets.

“This is an exciting time for our Company and based on Ted’s history as a strong executive leader, I know he will work to ensure we are providing all of our customers with the best experience in the industry whether they are visiting a store or coming to us online,” said President Otto Bielss. “Ted will lead the overall market growth by ensuring that we are providing our customers the service they want and need whether it is building face-to-face relationships in stores or providing the same standard of excellence when customers visit us online.”
