The GMs Tell All: Patricia Morena

We’re excited to launch a new video series based on our recent GM Town Hall Meetings. The internal Company videos are a compilation of several Town Hall style meetings our Company President, Otto Bielss, held virtually with our store operations team members across the country. The General Managers asked the questions and our leadership team was ready with the answers! These are unscripted meetings where our team members discuss their ideas, ask questions, or share concerns. Read about some of our team members who participated in the meetings as they share their experience. Submitted by: Patricia Morena, General Manager, North Richland …

School Supplies = Success!

School Supplies = Success!

Submitted by: Jamie Lane, Director of Internal Communications  Throughout July and August, we held our first Company-wide Back-to-School Supply Drive. This drive event was just the first of many fundraising opportunities we recently rolled out as part of our new TMX Cares Community Initiatives commitment. Our stores across the country have been holding separate back-to-school supply drives for many years, which is why we decided it was time to bring everyone together at the same time to support our local children, schools, and non-profits in a unified approach. This drive event is an important part of our TMX Cares commitment …

#DefineYourDrive: Versatility

#DefineYourDrive: Versatility

Submitted by: Sheila Kramer, Store Manager, Region 12 I started helping out around the family farm at six years old, then went on to work in the family business where I learned to balance money and run a small staff. I ended up with experience in many different areas of employment throughout that time, instilling in me a sense of versatility that gave me so many different career options. I decided to further my education so I could have a career that I enjoy in the lending business. I started my career with TitleMax and have been climbing the ladder …

A Father’s Love

A Father’s Love

Submitted by: Lionel Rutledge, Customer Service Representative  I have always considered myself a real “man’s man”. I was an Aviation Maintenance Administrator in the United States Navy and a damn fine Sailor. However, the day my daughter was born, all that “manliness” flew out the window with the first sight of my precious baby girl! These days, you’ll find me singing along each morning with The Little Einstein’s theme song, without any hesitation, just so I can see her smile! As you can probably tell from this picture, she has me wrapped around her little finger. I know it’s sad but …

#DefineYourDrive: Results

Submitted by: Donna Smith  In 2009, after 26 years in the automotive retail business in a finance support role, I was ready for a more personal challenge. I researched the TMX Finance Family of Companies and was an immediate believer! The excitement that exuded from the District Director I interviewed with was contagious. After all, how many companies are structured in transparency to allow every team member an opportunity to advance with unlimited earning potential? I began my career here as a Customer Service Representative and after six months of learning invaluable relationship-selling skills from a veteran store operator, I was …

#DefineYourDrive: Family

Submitted by: Katelynn Migues I was always the girl who not only doubted herself, but who always seemed to be doubted by others. But ever since I was young, I have always found ways to do things on my own. I always saved money to get what I wanted before anyone could buy it for me and I would save hundreds! I knew what I wanted and I worked hard to make it happen. Through my experiences, I have learned to push myself to keep moving forward. I’m now 21 years old with a home I purchased for myself at …

#DefineYourDrive: Loyalty

Submitted by: Alheli “Lily” Zuniga I came to the United States over 24 years ago and since day one, I always wanted to do something good for myself. I have had a total of three jobs in my entire work life. I spent nine years with one company where I learned to be loyal, dedicated, and passionate. In those nine years, I was able to start from the bottom and move up to eventually oversee more than 25 employees. My experience there, along with my determination to become part of something bigger, got me where I am today. Every day I …

Thanksgiving in April?

Thanksgiving in April?

Submitted by: Ted Helgesen, Executive VP of Operations We help people. It’s what we do every day. And we like nothing more than telling our best customers, “thank you!” In November, we held a Turkey Card Program promotion where eligible customers received a Thanksgiving themed card they could exchange at our stores for a check to be used toward the purchase of a turkey for a holiday meal. This program is a great way to thank our customers during the holiday season. This program also serves as a way for our team members to build upon their customer relationships. We …
