By: Shametra Watts, Senior General Manager, U.S Army I served in the Army for eight years. Within those eight years, the military taught me many different life skills, but the most important were: To be independent To work as a team To be a leader By learning these skills and building on them, it helped me to not only succeed in my personal life, but also in my career. Recovering with Help

Recovering with Help

Submitted By: Brandon Guffee, Lead Business Analyst January 5, 2018 was a normal Friday, much like any other. I was excited to get off work and start another great weekend. January 6, 2018 started out as typical Saturday. My wife and I loaded up our ATVs and headed out for some trail riding. This time we decided to check out a new trail, Rocky Ridge Ranch near Decatur, TX. After a few hours of riding, my wife and I decided we were not enjoying the trail, so we packed up and headed home. At some point between Decatur and Denton, …

Corporate New Hire Program

Corporate New Hire Program

Submitted by: Caitlyn Fahey, Executive Assistant of Shared Services – Dallas On Monday April 16th, I was able to visit one of our TitleMax stores in Carrollton, Texas as part of the New Hire Program to observe store operations. As a corporate employee, I really wanted to see the front-line processes of our organization and learn about the day-to-day store activities. Throughout the visit, I was able to see the customer onboarding process, vehicle appraisals using the ACV tool, payment transactions, and collections activity. But, my biggest takeaway from my experience was the interactions and relationships between customers and store …

Women Leadership in Action

Women Leadership in Action

With: Jennifer Harris, Associate General Counsel and Employment Counsel I was recently invited to attend the Consero Financial Services & Insurance Litigation forum which was held in New York, NY. For a bit of context, Consero is a relatively new events company that is taking an unorthodox approach to the normal business/continuing education conferences that us legal folks generally attend, not only to fulfill our annual continued education requirements, but to network with other industry professionals and learn about top-of-mind topics. Unlike other conference formats (where other lawyers speak at you about court cases and the letter of the law), …
